Silver Selvedge Pendant by Emily Nixon. This Selvedge Pendant is suspended from a sterling silver chain with Emily’s handcrafted loop and bar fastening also cast in sterling silver. Inspired by the designer’s background in woven textiles; the folds, pleats, threads and seams of materials are woven into the design.

Constant experimentation, playfulness and development of ideas, alongside a mindfulness of the relationship each piece has with the wearer, drives Emily’s creative process and output. The dichotomy of the precious and the organic – special stones encircled by sea-worn fragments of gold – characterises so much of her inspiration. At the heart of Emily Nixon’s work remains the sculpture and tapestry of her early fine art practice.
