The Carn Irregular Gold Band by Emily Nixon is one of a series of rocky, irregular wedding bands. Created to nestle as a wedding, engagement stack, these designs also make a statement worn as a stand alone gold ring. Created in Cornwall by Emily and cast in recycled, refined 18ct gold using the traditional lost wax process.

Constant experimentation, playfulness and development of ideas, alongside a mindfulness of the relationship each piece has with the wearer, drives Emily’s creative process and output. The dichotomy of the precious and the organic – special stones encircled by sea-worn fragments of gold – characterises so much of her inspiration. At the heart of Emily Nixon’s work remains the sculpture and tapestry of her early fine art practice.
